We are responding to the high demand of parent's wanting a regular bush school-like program on the Central Coast and are officially starting a program for the public!

This will be a 4-week program.

Tuesday 21st November- Session One 

Tuesday 28th November- Session Two

Tuesday 5th December- Session Three

Tuesday 12th December- Session Four.

**We will be going on a bushwalk on the 2nd Session at a different location.

The location will be on private property in Ourimbah, the address will be emailed out to those who have secured a spot. 

The location is a beautiful rainforest property with composting toilets & water. Plenty of shade and fun pockets for us to do all kinds of bushcraft activities with the kids. 

Age group 6-13 years.

If there is enough demand we will create a second group for ages 3-5 years to run simultaneously. We will need a group of minimum 10 children for this to happen.

Program outline:

Each session will be sculpted around nature connection and bushcraft. 

We will teach a range of bushcraft skills including: 

- Fire by Friction & Fire Safety

- Wild Foraging

- Bird ID and Bird Language

- Tracking

- String making with natural fibre

- Shelter building 

 and more. 

 Each session will consist of a bush skill teaching workshop, ecological knowledge, nature games & nature listening.

The intention of these sessions is to educate and empower through new skills but also provide a safe space for each child to connect with the land and expand their awareness on what is taking place within the bush. We are firm believers of children spending time in nature and the incredible benefits the natural world has on a childs mind & body. 

We run an organisation where we hold overnight camps for families in the bush teaching these skills, so this area is not new to us. We live and breathe our values of connection to the land and love empowering all ages to feel more confident in the bush and have more of a connection to the wild world around us.

- We will have 2 facilitators per 15 children. All of us have our WWCC and have experience in this area.

- We will have options for drop offs and for parents to stay, just let us know. 

- Options to drop in for the week or do the whole 4 weeks.

Please ensure you pack day packs with:

- water bottle

- lunch & snacks

- hat

- clothes that are ok to get a little dirty

We will have a firstaid kid on hand at all times and I have my Wilderness Firstaid Certificate. 

Cost. $80 per child per session.

Families of 3 or more get a discounted family price (get in touch).

If you pay for the full 4 weeks upfront it’s $70 per child per session ($280).
