About the Event

BushWise is a 3 day long course covering all the basic skills you need to set yourself up in the bush for a more immersive wilderness experience.

So many folks have forgotten the basics of knowing how to be comfortable in the bush, in the age of gear mania, we aim to take a few steps back and simplify what we need to take out in the bush for our basic needs.

Join us for an immersive, hands-on experience in the essentials of bushcraft. Over three days, you'll learn foundational skills in wilderness camping, while embracing the principles of Leave No Trace. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this course will equip you with the knowledge to confidently enjoy nature responsibly, minimizing your environmental impact while maximizing your outdoor experience.

The aim of this course is to teach you how to camp with minimal gear and incorporate materials from around you into your camp setup.

This is not a wilderness immersion, it is a camp-out course teaching you various skills that you can use on a wilderness immersion.

Facilitators: With over five years of hands-on experience living close to the land, Eva and Will are passionate advocates for sustainable, land-based living. They have spent the past half-decade teaching a wide range of outdoor skills, including bushcraft, ancestral skills, and basic survival skills. Drawing from their deep connection to nature, they integrate the wisdom of ancient survival skills with modern sustainability practices, always with a focus on respecting and preserving the environment.

Eva and Will’s approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that humans have evolved in nature and this is where they thrive—it’s about cultivating a reciprocal relationship with the land.
